I’m so excited to have some new sets of our Counting Owls available in the shop. These sets contain five counting owls in an Altoids tin. They’re great for working with preschoolers or you can combine several sets to be used as math manipulatives for elementary aged children. They’re also a great toy to have on hand for times when you have to wait in lines or at restaurants since they easily fit into a purse or backpack. If you’d like a larger set to use as math manipulatives in your classroom or homeschool, just send me a PM through Etsy and I can put together a custom order for you. Like all of our felt toys they’re made with 100% wool felt for durability.
I’m celebrating my 1000th sale in my Etsy shop by offering a special coupon code that provides buyers with a 15% discount on all orders of $25 or more. Use coupon code 1000SALES to join in this celebration. Hurry, though, the coupon code expires on July 31st. You can use this coupon code for all in-stock and made-to-order purchases. If you want a custom order, just send me a convo and we can put together a listing just for you.

Summer will be here before we know it. Stock up now on travel toys in tins. They’re so small and easy to carry. You can slip them in your purse or your child’s backpack. Many of my customers are grandmothers and have told me they keep a set or two in their purse to take out when the grandkids have to wait at a restaurant or other location. I have several of the Wee Mouse, Wee Bunny, and Fox in a Box sets completed and ready to ship. If you don’t see the exact color combination you want, just send me a convo and I can create a custom set just for you.
This set was probably one of my favorite sets yet. I love it when a client asks for custom work and this request was especially endearing! The client wanted a set for his girlfriend. She travels frequently and he wanted to surprise her with a set that included a mini version of him, their dog, and their cat. The set is primarily constructed of 100% wool felt, but I did embroider the man’s hair I used needle felting techniques to add the coloration to the dog and cat. All of the pieces are stuffed with wool to add substance and dimension. Contact me if you’d like a custom set!
These gnome ornaments were all part of the same order and they’ll be on their way to their new home in Arizona tomorrow.
This time of the year I’m typically finishing up the last of the big rush from December and early January orders and not working on new designs. I also spend a lot of time working on dye baths and washing fleece to re-stock my supplies that were exhausted with the Christmas rush.
These pictures aren’t terribly exciting, but really do reflect the season for me.
The Wee Kitty Cat Tin House set was for the winner of the YellowBlissRoad.com giveaway. I love her color choices! The cat is done in the lilac felt.
The bottom two sets were also a custom request. The customer wanted the Tomten and Fox set made smaller and into ornaments and also requested a fawn ornament. Her daughter had helped care for an injured fawn that year and wanted an ornament to help remember the event.
The other pics show some of my most popular Christmas ornaments – the Santas, gnomes, and snowmen that I work on a LOT this time of the year!
