Inspired by the matchbox mice so very popular in the UK and Larissa Holland’s Wee Mouse Tin House I’ve designed these two new toy sets – the Bunny in a Box and the Bear in a Box. These miniatures come housed in Altoids Smalls candy tins and measure about 2″ tall.
I have them available as custom listings which means that you can choose the colors you want and I’ll sew up a set especially for you!
I’ll also be trying to keep completed sets in stock so if you’re in a hurry you can just buy a finished set and I’ll have it the mail to you within 2 business days.
Yes, I know it’s August but that’s the time I begin creating Christmas ornaments here. I’ve already added a new design for 2016 – the chilly owl. He’s named the Chilly Owl because my oldest daughter said he looked cold so we decided to add a scarf to warm him up.
I’ve also begun work on my most popular line of needle felted ornaments – the gnomes. They’ll be available in a slightly wider range of colors this year and I have opened up the custom gnome ornament listing again, but I will be accepting a very limited number of custom orders this year. Order early before my calendar fills up! In this photo you see a few of this year’s finished gnomes waiting for their hangers to be added.
I have a variety of finished Christmas tree ornaments available in the shop that are ready to ship. These ornaments will ship out within 2 days of purchase and I’m adding more daily. Just click on the images below to see the listing in my etsy shop.

The Wee Kitty Cat Tin House is another design influenced greatly by Larissa Holland’s Wee Mouse Tin House design. Larissa has graciously granted permission to offer these sets. Right now I only have templates in the cream and black felt, but as you can see from my felt sample charts, a rainbow of options are available to us.
The fox in a box set is probably one of my favorite sets to sew up. I love these little guys! Like my other Wee Animal sets there is the main toy – a fox in this set – a tiny teddy bear, a pillow, a blanket, a mattress pad and the Altoids tin. They are fabulous purse toys. Just pop it in your bag and pull it out when your child needs a distraction.
One of my first spin-offs of the Wee Mouse Tin House by Larissa Holland was this Wee Bunny Tin House. I altered the pattern a bit more from the alterations I had already made on my version of the Wee Mouse. It still includes a tiny teddy bear and the bedding (pillow, blanket, mattress pad). They come a variety of bedding colors. The most commonly requested teddy colors are wheat and copper. The most commonly requested bunny colors are white and cream. Like the Wee Mouse Tin House, these are also made in 100% wool felt and stuffed with unspun wool.
For some time now I’ve been making my own version of Larissa Holland’s Wee Mouse Tin House. I love Larissa’s patterns, but since I prefer hand sewing and working in 100% wool felt it was necessary to alter her pattern just a smidge to fit my preferences. Here are some examples of my Wee Mice!
These gnome ornaments have been one of my most popular items for several years now. They come in a wide range of colors and I can even customize them. Some customers have requested hair colors and eye colors to match members of their families and others have had me add initials to the gnomes’ outfits to indicate which gnome represented which family member. I’ve done couples, individuals, and entire families!
I’m excited about this new line of Christmas tree ornaments. It’s a spin-off of my gnome Christmas ornaments. After several years of producing gnomes I needed a new fantasy themed ornament and the elflings were born. They come in a variety of colors, just as the gnomes do, but genders are less distinct because the elflings are an ageless sort of young. These are currently available in my etsy shop.
